From the South
From Downtown Newark
Follow McCarter Highway (NJ Route 21) north out of Newark to where it becomes an expressway. Take the Belleville exit. Bear left at the foot of the ramp to pass under Route 21 and onto Main Street in Belleville. At the next traffic signal (at K-Mart), make a left onto Joralemon St. At the next traffic signal, turn right onto Washington Avenue. The church is right ahead on your left.
From the Garden State Parkway
Exit the Garden State Parkway northbound at Exit 150 (Hoover Avenue). Make a right at the foot of the ramp and proceed to the next traffic signal. Turn right onto Joralemon Street, and proceed through three traffic signals to Linden Street on your left. This is a small side street three blocks past the Union Avenue traffic signal. Make a left onto Linden Street, and then a right onto Essex Street (first block). The church is on the corner of Essex Street and Washington Avenue. Approaching from the back is easier than making a left onto and off of Washington Avenue, which is busy.
From the North
Take NJ 21 south to Belleville exit. At the foot of the ramp, make a left onto Main Street. At the next traffic signal, make a right onto Joralemon Street. At the next traffic signal, turn right onto Washington Avenue. The church is just ahead on your left.
From the Garden State Parkway
Exit the Garden State Parkway southbound at Exit 149 (JFK Parkway). Turn right at the end of the ramp onto JFK Drive northbound. At the next signal, turn right onto Belleville Avenue. Proceed just over 2 miles to Washington Avenue and turn left. The church is about half a mile ahead on your left.
From the East
From the Lincoln Tunnel, Take Route 3 east, exit onto 21 south. Take NJ 21 south to Belleville exit. At the foot of the ramp, make a left onto Main Street. At the next traffic signal, make a right onto Joralemon Street. At the next traffic signal, turn right onto Washington Avenue. The church is right ahead on your left.
From Jersey City
From the Holland Tunnel, take Observer Highway to the Charlotte Circle. Then exit onto NJ Rte. 7 west (the Bellevile Turnpike). Take this right through the Meadowlands and the town of North Arlington (you will cross NJ Route 17, which at this point is known as Ridge Road). Continue west on NJ 7/Belleville Turnpike until you cross the huge new bridge across the Passaic (you will pass the Arlington Diner, one of Father Paul's favourite hangouts!). After the bridge, go up the slight hill and make a right onto Washington Street, which is the 2nd signal after the bridge. The church is a couple of lights down on the left.
From the West
Take either I-80 or US 46 to the Willowbrook Circle in Wayne. From there, take US-46 east to NJ 3 east. Take that to NJ 21 south. Take NJ 21 south to Belleville exit. At the foot of the ramp, make a left onto Main Street. At the next traffic signal, make a right onto Joralemon Street. At the next traffic signal, turn right onto Washington Avenue. The church is right ahead on your left.
